ZUT 2026 Retrospective

Check out the full race video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYiBIayzjmw A few weeks on from the start line, here is my honest debrief of the Zugspitz Ultratrail 2026, the race that was meant to be 107km and became 74km. This isn't a race vlog. It's me looking back at what actually happened, what worked, and what didn't. In this video I get into: UTMB taking over ZUT: what changed now that Zugspitz runs under the UTMB banner, and how that's reshaping one of the Alps' classic ultras. The shortening: the course was cut from 107km to 74km. My take on how that decision was handled and communicated. Atmosphere and organisation: the start, the aid stations, the volunteers, the vibe on course. My own race and training: an honest look at my preparation, how the day actually went, and the specific things I need to fix before the next 100k. This is part of Project 100k Twice, two attempts at the 100k distance in one season. Zugspitz was chapter one. Subscribe to follow the rest.
