A Proposal to Fix Splatoon 3's Netcode

Ever got splatted behind a wall by a charger? Brellas refuse to work? Communication errors? With my Computer Science networking specialization, we'll take a deep dive into the "broken" netcode of Splatoon 3 and propose a real solution. I propose multiple changes to Splatoon 3's networking, in order to have a better multiplayer experience even under the impact of latency. The proposal aims to preserve the existing responsive system, while adding mechanisms to reduce the effect of network lag. It hopefully fixes the frustrating desync issues with hiding behind obstacles, Brella shields and Ink Armor. The current way Splatoon 3 handles network communication is to prioritize attacks. This causes defensive mechanisms like Brellas and Squid Armor to perform very poorly under high latency. It has bugged me for years. I recent got my Computer Science bachelor so I figure I will return to this topic.
