Ringing in your ears? It might be your blood sugar

Could the ringing in your ears be a blood sugar problem? Your inner ear burns a lot of fuel, so it is sensitive to swings in blood sugar and insulin. Researchers in Egypt followed 60 older adults with metabolic syndrome and constant ringing. Half walked on a treadmill and ate less for 12 weeks. Their ringing went from about a 7 out of 10 to under a 5, and their waists, blood sugar, triglycerides and blood pressure came down too. The group that changed nothing stayed the same. It is a small study. But it fits what I lived: insulin resistance shows up everywhere. I had the desk job, the belly, high blood pressure and an A1c of 12.2%. I reversed it by going after the root, starting with my food. If your ears ring and your waist is growing, get your hearing checked, ask your doctor about fasting glucose and insulin, and take a walk after meals. Let's get healthy together. Science, not medical advice.
